Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Rota. By creating an account you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
The service
Rota is provided by Mohammad Arif, trading as Rihsafira, of 180 Harts Lane, Barking, IG11 8NB, United Kingdom ("we", "us"). Rota is a rota-planning and estimated-labour-cost tool. Rota is not payroll software. Figures shown are estimates based on scheduled hours and hourly rates you enter; they do not calculate tax, National Insurance, pensions, holiday pay, or any other statutory deduction or employment cost. You remain responsible for your own payroll and employment-law compliance.
Accounts and plan limits
You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your login details secure. The current plan supports up to 5 active employees and 2 administrators for one business. You are responsible for the accuracy of the data you or your administrators enter, including hourly rates and employee details.
Subscriptions, billing and cancellation
Rota is billed at £12.99/month via Stripe, our payment processor, after a 14-day free trial. We never see or store your card details. You can cancel from the Billing page in the app at any time: cancelling stops future payments and your access continues until the end of the period you've already paid for. After that, your account becomes read-only — your rotas, employees and history are kept, never deleted, and you can restart the subscription whenever you like. If a payment fails, we'll let you know and your account moves to the same read-only state rather than losing any data.
Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the service, attempt to access data belonging to another business, reverse-engineer or resell the service, or use it for any unlawful purpose. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach this.
Your data
You own the data you put into Rota (employee records, shifts, pay rates, and so on). We process it only to provide the service to you, as described in our Privacy Policy. If you close your account, you can request a full export or deletion of your business's data at any time.
Limitation of liability
Rota is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the service, including any loss arising from relying on estimated figures for payroll or employment-cost purposes — Rota's figures are estimates only and are never a substitute for professional payroll or legal advice. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud, where the law does not allow such a limitation.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time, for example as the service changes. We'll update the date at the top of this page when we do. Continuing to use Rota after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
